Living 14,000miles away from home made planning our wedding a difficult job to say the least. Emails, midnight phone calls, browsing magazines and googling every option in sundry. We arrived in Ireland with what we thought was a fantastic crew of wedding function professionals, everything from caterers, florists and marquee hire, etc. Little did we know that the mayhem was about to start.
A local hire company crew arrived on Monday and dumped a heap of stuff on our lawn only to leave it the in a messy pile until Wednesday. Arriving 3 hours later than discussed on the Wednesday they produced a marquee that my mother-in-law described as looking as if it had just come from a cattle mart. Our wedding marquee just about made me cry!!! After a number of very heated calls about the state of the marquee and the fact that the supplies ordered, heaters, napkins etc. were not supplied at all, the company threatened to take it down the next day, Friday, the day before the wedding. I was so angry that they thought the product they presented to us was acceptable that I said “Fine! See you in the morning”.
Taking stock shortly after that, I realized we had a wedding to cater in the sunny south east of Ireland with no guarantee of weather cover! TEARS!!! Oh no, into the golden pages, call after call, no joy, then one company put me on to Ger O’ Leary, from All In One Event Hire. Within minutes my mind was at ease, not only would he make sure we had our spotless wedding marquee the next day, he wouldn’t charge us an arm and a leg and he dealt with us with professionalism. The crew arrived when they said they would and worked efficiently until the job was done!
Thank God for Ger! Our wedding was a smash, and even my mother in law was impressed!
